The narrator of "The Book Thief" is the death because death says "A color will be perched on my shoulder" which means he will carry our souls away gently. They mention interacting with souls, as in the small boy who had died on the train. A mother who was with a little girl were the ones who had found the body of the little boy and his body was just laying there. Also Death talks about the main character. So In the conclusion the text has to prove that death is the narrator.

He does this when someone is about to die he takes the soul of the person. Death also says his work is a chocolate brown sky where he takes his souls. Death also says that one day we will all die.

The narrator of "The Book Thief" is death. At the beginning of the book it says "You will know me well enough and soon enough, depending on a diverse range of variables. It suffices to say that at some point in time, I will be standing over you, as genially as possible. Your soul will be in my arms. A color will be perched on my shoulder. And I will carry you gently away." This is me evidence for why the narrator of "The Book Thief" is death.
