The modelling clay ship was done at school for a project. The drawing of the tree house was done at school- we all had to copy a picture of a treehouse, but I wanted to add more, so I added the flowers and the background. I love doing workouts and things that challenge my strength - so when I’m at the splash park I like doing this rope climb. Every time I do it, I see if I can beat my previous time.

If he does a good job, he gets a sticker and if there's an issue, we get a small note explaining. It was the teacher's idea, and it has been a wonderful tool! Not only do we know more about his day, but he also takes pride in how many stickers he gets. We were very very excited to see that he had a "perfect" chart last week. This was a BIG accomplishment and shows how far he's come over the last year. He was very proud of himself (as he should be) and we celebrated that evening. Overall, this has been a fantastic initiative and I'm excited that he is improving each week too. 

]]> 2026-06-15 16:51:26 UTC https://padlet.com/FIREFLYNW/hnud97faiyjjs1ga/wish/3953905350 FIREFLYNW https://padlet.com/FIREFLYNW/hnud97faiyjjs1ga/wish/3955138849 Our daughter normally works very slowly on school work.  It can take her much longer to complete tasks and homework than neurotypical kids her age.  However, this weekend she had a breakthrough of sorts!  She has made a new friend and she wanted to have them sleepover.  She had 3 big assignments to complete - an amount of work that would normally take her 2-3 days to finish.  I was clear about the expectation that if these tasks were completed, then her friend could sleepover.  She buckled down and got all of the work done in record time.  I didn’t have to remind her once!  It turns out that time with friends is a powerful motivator for her.

I am happy to report that last week, they went on a three-day trip to this camp! After the camp, when asked how the trip to camp was, they replied - “It was fantastic!”

He has been working hard and showing great progress. He enjoyed making a creative craft, and during a family birthday celebration he was smiling, laughing, and having fun with others. He has also been making positive changes in how he interacts with pets, helping one of the family cats feel more comfortable around him. These are wonderful signs of growth and kindness.
