My daily life would suck. Being blamed for things breaking when it wasn't my fault would be difficult. My explanation is that in the video it said that the workers were getting blamed for things breaking, the hours were long and the pay was way too small. Even when I would stand up for myself I would get shunned.

I'm pretty sure that as a child laborer I'd be stressed half of the time without a way to unwind. I know that I would be frustrated that I didn't get any breaks and I'd be Irritated that I was getting blamed for things that were never my fault. I'd obviously be scared about the danger that came with working and it would be especially hard seeing as I'm afraid of heights. I'd be super hungry throughout the day and would be jumping at any sounds that told me an adult was coming. By the time I was let out of work I'd be tired with bruises forming and I'd be dreading having to do the same thing over and over again until I got old enough to be let out. But in the end I'd think that all this was worth it if it meant my family and I were fed, clothed, and sheltered. If I got all that in return than I'd gladly work more hours.

Asmaa A.

I imagine my day would begin at 3:00 am when my mom wakes me up. I am so tired that I ignore the shaking, but I have to get up again. I drag on the clothes I have been wearing for the last 2 days and after a quick breakfast of stale bread and tea, I head out to work. My lunch is tied in a bag around my waist together with a few squares of paper towels. I walk 2 miles to work and I join a long line of other kids, also walking to work. It is very dark and I like the company. I see my friend and talk for a while. when I arrive, I have to be counted and signed in for the day. I can not count beyond 10 because I do not go to school. I have to go down 2 flights of stairs to the basement. There, with other kids, I sit on the concrete floor and my work begins. Long hours hunched over garment pieces and working with a sharp scissors. I have cut myself several times in the past and my father who receives my pay, will not not get paid, so I have to be very careful not to get blood on the garment pieces. It is very hot, no windows and a very dirty ceiling fan. I am not allowed to talk or hum or sing. for if I do, I will be beaten. I am not allowed to cry for then I will not have a lunch break. I get to use the bathroom only two times and I hate going there, for it is down a dark hallway that smells really bad and I can hear the rats running around and squealing. There is not door to a bathroom, just a hole in the floor. I use half of the paper towel because there is no toilet paper and no soap and running water to wash my hands. Later, I eat my lunch with the other kids and we can talk for just a little while. I share my lunch of stale bread and tea with ,a friend because her parents did not have any food at home. Lunch lasted only 20 Minutes and then I am back to sitting cross legged on the hard cement floor. The air is very stale and we are all sweating in the heat. I am thirsty but there is no water to drink. My fingers have callouses so I not longer get sores but I cramp all over. My neck ,shoulder and legs hurt real bad but I can not complain for I do not want to be beaten. I still gets yelled at because after 12 hours I am so tired it is hard to keep my eyes open and I start slowing down and my work does not look very neat.
Finally, the bell rings at 8:00pm signaling the end of my day. Glad to get going, I join the long line of other kids as we leave to walk home.

you can never really create a life from something you don't know or not really familiar with but with what I know from multiple articles I would expect to work in a factory, long hours very little pay. I would go home and barely be able to put food on the table for my family. I'm very poor and very sore, wake up at sunrise and leave from work close to midnight. Im forced to work in horrible conditions. go back home and do it all over again. this still happens to this day and it's constantly swept under the rug and downplayed. it needs to be brought to more people attention.

Being a child factory worker does not sound all that bad to me. Yes, you would be working long hours / days, didn't get much of a break at all, and got paid littler pay than you wished, But think of this. You are not working because you want to or are being forced by the factories to do so, you are working for your family. You are working so your family can have food, and all of the basics. You are working so that your mom / dad don't have to work themselves to death so hard, or so that your baby siblings can have what they need to survive, Even though it was only a little bit of money, every cent counts. Being a child laborer should not be so horrid to people if they really understand what it was. If I was put in a factory like the kids back then were and was told to work over 12 hrs a day, i would gladly do it, with no exceptions, because I do anything in the world to help out my family no matter what,

I imagine my day waking up at sunrise and heading straight to the factory. I've been wearing the same par of rags for days. Once I would start working I wouldn't get a break unless I snuck out, which is very risky. My job terrifies me. My friends keep getting hurt very badly by these horrible machines cause our little hands can reach little objects better then adults.. I hope I don't get picked to do so. Eventually it's getting to the 8 o'clock hour and my body can barley stand anymore. I keep thinking "I'm almost done! I'm almost done!" Finally, its 8pm and I can go home. We have a problem at home, my family is very poor so its very hard to get food for us all. My father says; " Sophie, you can have my share tonight. I will rest then go out, and hunt for us." Then I repeat it all everyday.
-Sophie B
