The article linked above has several different methods to try to reduce email clutter, minimize the time you spend with your email each day and optimizing your current inbox.</p><p><br/></p><p>Some lessons learned:</p><p>DO NOT turn on notifications.  If you can have times where you can pause your inbox do so.</p><p><br/></p><p>DO NOT have your email on your phone.  If you have to have it on your phone turn off notifications and consider keeping it off your home screen.</p><p><br/></p><p>Touch every email as few times as possible.</p><p><br/></p><p>Use the schedule send feature to allow you to batch your email work.</p><p><br/></p><p>Use your away message when you are on a busy clinical block, away at a conference etc.  This can allow you to mentally have some breathing room when you need to focus your attention elsewhere.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>]]></description>
