The office romance

If I were you, I would try to speak with the other person at first place. You should open to the other person and talk about your feelings and what you are scared about.

After that, if you want to try meeting each other, I would try to put limits. In the work, we are partners and we have to make things together and with our team, but in the street we can be whatever we want to be.

If I were in your shoes, I would put communication as a basic piece of my relationship.

The Office Romance

1-

Check Company Policy First

Before taking any step forward, review your employee handbook or HR guidelines regarding workplace relationships. Some companies strictly prohibit team members from dating, while others simply require you to disclose the relationship to avoid a conflict of interest. Knowing the rules beforehand will protect both of your jobs.

2-

Establish "Ground Rules" Early On

If you both decide to pursue a relationship, sit down and set boundaries before going public. Agree to keep all personal matters out of the workplace, remain professional during team meetings, and decide how you will handle professional disagreements. Having a mutual agreement upfront prevents personal feelings from spilling over into work.

3-

Consider the "Worst-Case Scenario"

Be realistic about what happens if the relationship doesn't work out. Ask yourself: Will we be able to remain professional and sit next to each other every day if we break up? If a potential breakup would create unbearable drama or damage your career progress, it might be wiser to keep things strictly professional—or wait until one of you moves to a different team.

If I were you I'd tell her what do you fell about being with her every morning, working together, but having to hire your feelings. As you said, it's probably that she feel the same but you just have to communicate each other. On one hand, you'd see your partner every day. On the other hand, it'd be difficult to cope with work and a relationship at the same time. Maybe, you can wait until any of you find another job, or just try but knowing that it would not be easy.

The unwanted houseguest

First of all you need to talk to them and let them know how you feel about the situation, tell them that you comprehend their situation and you’re willing to do everything that’s on your hands to help but also need your own space and privacy, try to be polite and not rude when you say this, and lastly if they won’t move out give them a deadline and call the police ❤️

3° situation

If I were you I would travel as you planed, because you already got the tickets and organised your holiday since time ago and probably you deserve this

On the other hand this doesn't mean that you should share you time with them. I would recomend you to create your own intinerary, visiting the places that you want, taking your own turs and managing your shchedule.

My final advice would be that you get the chace to talk with your friend before going, explaning what will be your position in this travel, and being clear with her about you would rather spend time sometimes alone instead of being with them. The best thing is always can be honest in any friendship.

The holidays Betrayal

If I were in this situation, I would feel very frustrated. The bookings were expensive, and we planned everything well in advance. I shouldn't have to cover the extra costs or lose money because of him/her. I would tell her that it's nothing personal, but I really wanted to spend this time with you, my best friend. I think it's healthy to separate time between partners and friends, because there should always be time for everything. At this point, I would like to going to look for other activities to do on my own, at least for most of the time

It sounds difficult to give up on a trip you planned with your best friend, especially when you thought it was going to be an unforgettable experience for both of you, and then suddenly everything changes.

My advice to you is this: go on the trip, but go alone. Live this experience exactly the way you want to, because only you know how hard you worked to pay for this trip and how much you dreamed of having this experience.

Tell your friend that the ticket is already paid for and that you’re still going to use it, but you won’t be spending the trip with them. You can do different things, visit different places, try different restaurants, and create your own experiences.

I can assure you that this trip will be much more meaningful to you because you’ll be able to enjoy it on your own terms and make memories that are truly yours.
