If you can use the technology anywhere, I would suggest that you play around on the new technology while you are at home. This way you can kind of get an understanding of what works and what does not work.

I think that the best thing to do would be to look up a tutorial on the new technology. I would also suggest asking fellow teachers if they are familiar with the new technology. You could then ask them to give you a demonstration. I think this would be the best ways to overcome this problem of not knowing how to use new tech that is required.

In my opinion , the best thing to do when you have to use a tool that isn't familiar to you is to ask your teacher if they can explain how to use it , see if there are any videos online that can help you, and play with it for a while until you figure out how to properly use it.

When you come into a situation where you do not know how to use a certain technology in the classroom, make sure you are aware of what it is before you present it in front of your students and try to research it to get some insight on it. You should also speak to your boss and see if there are any training courses available.

Remember your first few years your learning right along with them. It is ok to not know every answer and to have a few mess-ups along the way! Like others have said really don't be afraid to ask, the person you're asking for help had to at some point do the same thing!

You will never know until you ask. Also try to use it as much as possible. Practicing with it will make a big difference.
