The Grenfell Tower disaster happened on the 14th of June 2017. Where the building 'unexpectedly' caught fire. The photo below was taken by a photojournalist called Guilhem Baker. The fire exceeded the building destroying all 20 storeys and calling 200 fire fighters and 40 engines to the scene.

Even in 2016/17 we are still struggling to help people. Carl Court, is photojournalist of this time tends to take photos of the 'reportage' faction. in 2016 his work majored in the biggest stories inside and outside the UK. These stories include:
- Refugee Crisis
- Brexit
- Earthquakes in Italy & Japan
- Terror in Brussels & Nice.
In the image below he captures a feature that is hard for the people who used to live in these sort of conditions. Thousands of people continued to live in makeshift camps in the port towns of Calais and Dunkirk in northern France, with many attempting to board vehicles heading for ferries or through the Channel tunnel in an attempt to reach Britain. James Nachtwey, a American photojournalist won a photo of the year in 1994. This photo shows the story of a man who was terrorised and mutilated as the Hutu militia suspected him of being sympathetic to the Tutsi rebels.
Nachtwey believes that photos help people understand the issue on more of a human level. First of all - it records time.
- Images placed in the news and media are recording time and event that are happening currently. From this we can look at the advancements, similarities and differences that we have made since the beginning. This may inherit features of opinion, political stances and changes, social authority and just general news.
Next - Technological uprise.
- Initially you can say the first recordings of current happenings are cave drawings from thousands of years ago. From then till now we are using devices that physically capture what is happening like the human eye.
  Over time, this shows the development of human evolution - the way we think - and how we have gone about recording issues.
