Walter is just trying to support his family, trying to get them to have a better life. His family thought is was a bad idea and useless idea to try and get his liquor store license. This poem is perfectly relating to Walter. His frustration will appear out of no where, everything will be going well. Something bad will come up and cause him to become angry or frustrated and he will take his anger out on anyone who is near him besides his son Travis. He copes with his frustration and anger by drinking all his problems away. Walters frustration and anger kind of controls him, that is until they move out. Walter went through a lot of frustration when he found out his friend ran off with his money that he put towards the liquor store. But after awhile he got over that and him and family moved out into the new neighborhood like planned.

He is there in a serious situation even though he is going through some tough times he is always there for his family. For example when Lindner came to the house he stood his ground. He stoop up for his families dignity and told Lindner that they were moving into the white neighborhood and that was final. Walter dreamed of having a great life, out of the apartment. Even though Walter had some tough time through out his life he stayed through it all and now him and his family are moving into a new neighborhood to start a new and fresh life. Walter gets frustrated and mad very easily so this piece of artwork goes perfect with the character Walter. Walter would get frustrated because of the life he was living. I imagine this is how Walter,is whenever he is frustrated, face in his hands emotionless, desperate for some hope, just a little bit of help. That is how most people are when they are frustrated or angry.
