Not all motivators work for the different children. Some like to work for something. Some like positive words of encouragement every step of the way. Others like to watch a chart grow and collect things to reach their goal. Many people use their kind of system for potty training or to improve behaviors within the classroom. This also allows for students to have a sense of ownership over their progress because it doesn't move or get better without them putting in the work to make the chart move.

Students care about their friends and want the teacher to be happy. Stressing to the students that it is your job as the adult or the teacher to keep the other students and anyone else in the room safe can help them work with you to make their self control better when they don't know what to do with themselves.

Working with students to understand the value of themselves is so important because of the well being of them and others within the classroom.

They learn by doing, listening and watching others and the teacher around them. Students take everything in around them. It is my job to provide them the positive learning environment within the classroom. Having engagement within the classroom for your student can be seen in many ways depending on how your student learns. It is also my job to help them figure out how they learn. Teaching them and providing many different ways to learn is a part of keeping an inclusive classroom for all students to be comfortable in.
