Let's reflect on the ways that discourse communities have been facing the "new normal" reality this year. Choose ONE of the questions below and create a post with your thoughtful answer:
1. How has the pandemic changed the ways communities and their members establish connections?
2. Have you distanced yourself or become closer to a certain community because of these uncertain times? How did that happen?

These new innovations provide a better way to connect with more people at once for convince, however it also restricts a deeper connection towards specific individuals. Everyone has had to distance their selves and keep contact at a minimum, making it hard for communities to do the things they do together. I have not distanced myself from any communities, I continued to be a part of my community partly because we still had to work during the pandemic so we were all still close and able to do what we do.

the pandemic has changed communities in a lot of really big ways for instance people have had to adapt for things such as sports. seeing as there are limitations in how close people can be as well as wearing masks it definitely makes it harder to play certain sports. Even still with these certain restrictions people find ways to make it work including still being themselves while focusing on staying safe.

covid has changed the way communities establish connections because people were forced to quarantine from others and social distance themselves. They probably had to do zoom meetings instead of meeting in person which can affect their connections because they can't talk in person.

The pandemic has changed the way communities interact with one another due to quarantine, zooms, or social distancing. I feel the pandemic has made people less social, or have social anxiety if they didn't have it before. For me, I'm already a shy person, so when quarantine hit, and things started going back to normal I did have a bit of social anxiety. Getting involved with ceramics helped me a lot through the pandemic, it was therapeutic for me. Gave me the chance to interact with others and feel free.
