I predict that the poem, Autopsy, is about Donald Trump taking away certain soon to become 'American citizens,' previligies. Instead of making American a uniform place, he's making North America a place where citizens ache, not all treated equitably and have to deal with antagonism, leading to definite opportunities to be absent, within a blink of an eye. I say this, because in the poem it states, "I dreamed that my passport was made of bone—That it was a canoe carved out of stone. "But I can’t swim,” I said. “I will drown If I can’t make the shore. I’ll die alone In the salt. No, my body will be found. I believe the author is trying to get the the message out about Trump's immigration ban policy. He's waking people up each day with damage done. If the person stating the poem tries to immigrant we will face life threating results causing him to drown in a sea full of sharks. Immigration was a freedom to refugees as they could get away from there war zone and live peacefully. But now that, that oppurtunity is gone there is no fresh water for refuges/non Americans, but there is salt water where's they deal with errors, punishment and no democracy leading people too mistress and leading America to ben ot great once again.

In this poem, the author have used descriptive words to explain what's happening, and we can picture that in our heads. An example would be "With millions of bodies, all of them brown.” I dreamed that my passport was a book of prayers,

Unanswered by the gods, but written down, By fact checkers in suits. “There are some errors", I have pictured a lot of bodies around that person when it said "with millions of bodies". The poem is written in the third person; this not only amplifies the objective, detached perspective that the title implies but also contributes to the analytical tone of the poem. The nostalgic, evocative language which the poet uses to describe the “findings” of the autopsy, however, belies this objectivity, thus creating the tension of the poem; this tension is sustained until the final line, which signals completion and fulfillment. The poet permits only certain parts of the body to be dissected. Specifically, those parts are related to the senses through which he perceives the sources in the physical world which awaken and aid him in expressing his inner, poetic world.

In the beginning of the poem, the author mentioned what happened in United States recently. Since the election of Donald Trump happened during the time this poem was written, I can predict that it was written about the horror of him being elected. The author continues to talk about his passport, which is now dead. One of my predictions is that his passport was once a ticket to freedom, but now it is useless. It is useless to him, but also other people of colour. By millions of bodies, I think the author was referring the millions of people that want to immigrate and live in the US, but can not. When the author started to talk about the ICU, I predicted that the real meaning of text was about him trying to use his passport to get out of this situation, but it did not work.

To begin with, I was able to visualise the impact because of certain words the author used in the poem. In addition to this, the quote has also helped me understand the overall message as it describes the situation that is similar to the policy that Donald Trump created.

Inferring has helped me understand this poem because I can gather all of the information in the poem and form a conclusion. For example, "With millions of bodies, all of them brown.” With this, I can infer that different races were involved as well as mass amounts of people were affected which is also similar to the policy that Donald Trump created. The policy that he created was against immigrants coming to the United States which poses as a threat as well as creating conflict between them. Another example that helped me understand this poem is "Last night, I dreamed that my passport was alive. When it entered the ICU. It breathed, it breathed, Then it sighed and closed its eyes. It did not survive." This describes the process that the immigrants had to overcome and experience while coming to the United States which shows the correlation between the policy and this poem. Overall, inferring has helped me understand this poem as it allows me to organise my thoughts and ideas along with connecting them to the events in the world, thus forming conclusions.

I infer that, Sherman Alexie, had wrote this poem after reflecting on the tragic incident of Donald Trump banning immigration, affecting the lives of innocent humans. She wrote this through third person, writing about all the tragedies a young migrant had to deal with while in the presence of Trump and his policy. In the story it states," Will you be shelter? Or will you concede?” Last night, I dreamed that my passport was alive
When it entered the ICU. It breathed, it breathed,
Then it sighed and closed its eyes. It did not survive." This passsge form the poem shows the mistress a young, unimpeachable non- American was put through. The passport was alive and going before ut reached the ICU. As soon as Donald Trump's people came in the process of artifacts, everything started to go defective. The person lost its act of civiling the seas, making the passport its concede as it also meant losing a habitat for refugees. The person writing this list it's faced it's way to civil, as descrimationto took place, leading to the passport being taking away for non-valid, racist reasons. It even states in the poem it , "With millions of bodies, all of them brown.," showing the presence of segregation, leading people in violence and leading me to say that the author wrote this poem to show the incrediblely miss-hearting situations immigrants were put in.

For example, the author says that the passport is a tombstone for the USA. This poem is heavily related to the recently ended presidential election with Donald Trump winning the election. The author is talking about how Donald Trump is going to destroy what is already a pretty good country, or the author could be saying that if you are going to go & stay at the new USA, you will see that it'll be a lot worse than it was before.

A factor that helped me understand the text better was imagery. Through imagery I was able to visualize the scenes and have a better insight on the message being conveyed. For instance, "with millions of bodies, all of them brown." Specific words such as, millions and brown helped make an more clear visual in my head. Moreover, I believe visualization is more effective in getting the message across because people usually understand the extent of certain situations only when they can see the consequences. The message was, that due to Donald Trump's new policy many people will suffer and become displaced. Additionally, through this literary device I was able to understand the gravity of the events that will result from Trump's new unfair policies.
