Location-based m-commerce (l-commerce)
-Delivery of m-commerce transactions to individuals in a specific location, at a specific time.

Four examples of location-based service (LBS) :
1) Geolocation
-The process of automatically identifying a Web user's physical location without the user having to provide any information.

2) Network-based positioning
-Relies on base stations to find the location of a mobile device sending a signal or sensed by the network.

3) Terminal-based positioning
-Calculating the location of a mobile device from signals sent by the device to base stations.

4) Global positioning system(GPS)
'A worldwide satellite-based tracking system that enables users to determine their position anywhere on the earth.

Two barries to LBS :
1) Lack of GPS in mobile phone
- GPS may be inaccurate in a city with tall buildings, limiting the use of location-based m-commerce apps.

2) Limited network bandwidth

a）Power consumption 
Batteries with long life are needed for mobile computing. Color screen and wifi consume more electricity, but new chips and emerging battery technologies are solving some of the power consumption problems.

b）GPS accuracy
GPS may be inaccurate in a city with talk buildings, limiting the use of location-based m-commerce.

c）Human-computer interface
Screens and keyboards are too small , making mobile devices uncomfortable and difficult for many people to use.
