The tone of the story was very ironic. Because when it was his time nobody helped him just like how he didn't help them. the theme of the story is to speak up when you see something you know is wrong. The author uses rhetoric to advance his point so that people would get an understanding of how it makes other people feel when they see them getting done wrong and instead of saying something and helping they just turn their heads and act like they didn't see anything. He showed that by using repetition by saying when they came for a group he didn't say anything.

I feel like the tone of the poem is more formal or like a serious tone but also towards the end it was kinda sad/depressing.I think the theme is don't expect to much from other people if you haven't done nothing for them (i think). The author uses rhetoric to advance his point across is using his word choices (i honestly don't know)

What is the tone? The tone of the poem would be like as the poem goes the tone would get more and more depressing. What is the theme? The theme of the poem is that it tells and shows the reader that it was just this one person waiting for them to be called.but they where never called.but until the last person would be them.nobody was there to speak for them.;( How the author use rhetoric to advance his point? So how the author use rhetoric to advanced his point was that he wanted to picture how it would feel if you where in his shoe. And also by words to help better understand the over all point.
