2) Teacher putting student in a context - CCA. 
Teacher try to get students to see the similarities between CCA and the topic. 

3) Teacher can prompt the students back in terms relating from CCA to studies to working hard. 
Teacher can start by asking what do they think about the topic instead asking directly if students agree or not. 

*This practice reminds teachers not to also have a fixed mindset.

Why do you say so?
Can you give an example?
Could people be begging for some other reasons?
Do you think family background is a factor?
What if you are the one who is poor, would you be comfortable with such comments?
If you do not have good results, is it because you did not work hard?
Could there be other factors like health? 
Lets say if work hard, does that mean you will definitely not be poor?
If you earn a lot of money now, but tomorrow you fall sick, will this be a possible case?

2) What went well?
Teachers were calm and try to provide examples and scenario.

3) What could have been better?
Do some homework about profile of students.
