1.Harry Potter –An empathy leader.  Harry Potter has several characteristics of a good leader: listening, empathy, awareness, stewardship, building community, commitment to people’s growth.  Harry is an effective leader because he combines his extensive talent with sound judgment. He bases his decisions with the welfare of others foremost in his mind. He does what’s best for the cause, not himself.  Harry is willing to take the advice of others, and not just listen. He is willing to apply that advice if he deems it right and then credit the proper person if it works while accepting blame if it fails 

2.  General Lee – Empathy intelligence leader.  General Lee was genuinely interested in and cared for others.  He listened to the thoughts, ideas and suggestions of his commanders.  He acknowledged and appreciated their input.  He knew how to say no with respect. He gathered all available information, requested input from his commanders and chose the best course of action, before ordering any commands.  General Lee even apologized to his troops for the defeat at Picket’s Charge. 

3.  William Wallace –Inspirational, sympathetic a visionary leader.Transformational leaders can also recognize individual growth as well as follower's growth. He was their leader and a Scotsmen, therefore, a member.  The relationship he had with his fellow Scotsmen was the powerful component of lineage that linked him to his followers.  Wallace spoke to his followers about their rightful value as free people as God intended. He used emotion and standard as components in to define their fight against the English king.  Wallace didn’t have a title; he wasn’t even a noble.  He led by example and his cause was freedom 

Brave Heart – I believe he is a transactional leader. He focuses on talking about freedom and how they can get it. He “barters” in a way with the others of how to obtain that freedom and that they need to fight for it. If they run and not fight, they may live but they will always have this to worry about. As a leader, he shows them what the best thing to do and gives them the sense of power and dynamic outcome for fighting in their freedom. 

Lord of the Rings – I believe this is a form of transformational leadership. They strive for commitment of the others to get the ring back to where it needs to be and motivates them in the process. They trust in one another to do this together and strive for greatness. Which is also a form of democratic leadership with relying on teamwork and participation of all in the group. They are to achieve results together. 

William Wallace – Authentic Leader – Passionate about the cause. Authoritative Leader

LeeAnn – Transactional Leader – Negotiating or bartering – she was developing behaviors or levels of performance. I always liked this story because of the way she had of explaining things.
