There are two main characteristics that stand out in the cultural environment of Mexico, arts and languages, both of which have been profoundly impacted by globalisation. The term “media” consists of various aspects such as music and tvs, which were all founded around the early 19th century. The use of media is a popular form of entertainment in Mexico, which has included the change of content, production, distribution, and audience engagement to be targeted towards a more global audience. Mexican movies such as the movie Coco directed by Lee Unkrich and co-directed by Adrian Molina have adapted to local cultures and languages such as their use of some Spanish words and their special day “Día de Muertos”(the day of the dead). Additionally, telenovela storylines and characters are often adjusted to resonate with different cultural sensibilities. For example, Amor Real directed by Eric Morales Monica Miguel, was a Mexican telenovela set in the 19th century telling the story of Matilde, a young woman forced into a loveless marriage, and her journey to find true love, which included love triangles and over the top plot twists. This telenovelas was dubbed in languages other than Spanish, such as Portuguese or English, to target specific markets, for more nations to understand, making it more appealing to the diverse viewership. (Adriaens and Biltereyst, 2023) Lastly mariachi music has been through a slight change due to globalisation as well. In some cases, mariachi groups have incorporated non-traditional instruments such as saxophones and drums to create a more contemporary sound. For example, the song “smooth” by santana incorporates drums into this song. This fusion of traditional and modern instruments led to tours/concerts in multiple different countries.

Mexican movies such as Coco continue to emphasise traditional family values, morals and respect which are common to the hispanic culture. These traditional values mean unity allowing the family to have and feel a closer bond with one another. Furthermore, it allows them to feel safe with one another and brings them a sense of calmness (Britannica, 2023) Telenovelas frequently incorporate drama between the characters' friends and family causing the influence of over exaggeration and dramatising these moments. Amor Real, once again meets these requirements. Furthermore, schools in Mexico provide courses for the students to learn about the theory, history and performance of mariachi music. They also constantly host concerts and festivals which require mariachi music to be played in them. This allows children to be more accessed to the mariachi music and to get a feel of this music from a young age. These are the most important aspects included in media and are all designed to reach the innermost feelings of the audience. Mexican cuisine has undergone significant changes as a result of globalisation. Mexican food chains have been spread all over the world starting from fast food restaurants such as El Fogoncito to herbs and spices that were originally only found in mexico. This has allowed Tex-Mex chefs to experiment with and incorporate ingredients from around the world into traditional dishes, creating new and innovative flavours leading to  the increased availability of international ingredients, expanding the spread of Mexican culture. Mexican food such as tortillas and salsa have been spread allowing mexican flavours to be more accessible globally. This cuisine has resulted in fusions of tastes and techniques, giving Mexican cuisine exciting interpretations both in its local country and abroad. While these changes reflect the dynamic nature of food culture in an interconnected world, they also emphasise the enduring appeal of Mexican flavours on a global scale (Wikipedia, 2023). The restaurant El Fogoncito is a Mexican restaurant which was created in Mexico and is spreading across South America due to economic development and general migration. Mexican food was already popular among the local Mexican migrant community in Brazil, before their marine tourism attracted new people to those locations. The use of chilli peppers, oregano, and cumin in Chile con Carne, a dish of Mexican cuisine, developed. Lastly, Global food trends and health consciousness have influenced Mexican cuisine. This oral tradition helps preserve authentic Mexican recipes and culinary techniques. Traditional markets, known as "mercados," are essential for preserving Mexican food culture. These markets often feature local ingredients and products, providing a platform for traditional food producers and artisans to showcase their goods. In addition, Mexico hosts numerous food festivals and events throughout the year, celebrating the country's diverse culinary heritage such as Día de Muertos. These festivals promote traditional dishes and attract both locals and tourists interested in Mexican cuisine.
