The colonists went to war with England because they wanted to have freedom and to be independent. The colonists did not think Great Britain government had the right to give them taxes. Great Britain was taxing the colonists because after the war they did not have enough money.

I believe that we broke away from England because politically, we were not alike. England's taxes drove them to war. The colonist wanted to individualize themselves. The colonist wanted to maintain their land they claimed when they arrived. The English were not okay with what the colonist proposed and that's why they wanted independence freedom.

I think that they wanted to go to war with England because they wanted to get away from the English. They wanted freedom from the King. They were tired of paying taxes and obeying the King. Taxes were too much and they wanted to gain independence from England. They wanted their own laws, their own religious beliefs, and wanted to no pay taxes.

Also because Britain refused to stop taking america's ships. The british taxed the colonists because they were basically broke after the war so they decided to tax the colonists to pay for the debts they had.

The British raise there taxes for no reason and the colonist did not like that. They also did not like being under a king that had all power over them.

I think they might've fought for individuality or independence. They didn't want the taxes Britain gave them and they wanted to end up governing themselves. They wanted freedom from the King, so they went to war. British didn't didn't even have the right to tex us, so that's an even bigger issue.

they war at war and unfair taxes made them really salty and did not like the unfair treatment like tax on sugar which was a big thing

The colonists went to war with England because they wanted to gain independence and the freedom to govern themselves, rather than deal with some dude across the Atlantic taxing them. I wouldn't be too happy with some random guy that I don't even care about trying to keep hold over my life. And maybe they also wanted to expand further west, because yeet the natives off their ancestral land, it's ours now.

I think they fought because they wanted to be independent. On reason they wanted to be independant is because british taxation.Many Americans did not think that the British government had the right to tax them. We also were politically different . Americans wanted to do one thing but the british were being mean and tried to tax them higher taxes and take stuff from them.

We broke away from England because they starting stealing our money to fund their petty wars with the Baguette Kingdom. This did help us though, because we discovered a way to mass produce tea (just use a harbor!). Then we fought a war against the Tea Kingdom, and we won. Then we created the Hamburger Nation!

I think that the colonist might have went to war with England because they wanted their own independence, and rights. They didn't have the freedom that they longed for. They wanted to fight against the unfair taxes. I think they may have also disagreed with the religion toleration, and wanted to change those strict laws. I believe that there were many other disagreements on laws and requirements that they went to war for to receive freedom.

The parliament refused to give the colonist representatives in the government and the colonist wanted to get representatives in the government so they could have a say and that is a reason why they went away from England. They also were being made to pay taxes and they did not want to pay taxes.

They wouldn't give any religious freedom or toleration, which was really upsetting. Also the taxation was also a big part, they didn't want to pay taxes and wanted tax independence. An example of this would be the Stamp Tax. The american colonist wanted to be independent from england because they wanted to make whatever goods they liked and they wanted to trade with any country they wanted too. The british did not like this because they felt as if the colonist would become a problem and start a competition.

The Colonists wanted to break away from England because they thought the taxation was unfair and the British government was corrupt. They thought there was no reason to pay these extra taxes. They thought the trade was unfair and their wants were not represented well so this caused the revolution to break out.
