I took this photo last summer in Duluth. This is Lake Superior and it's where I feel most "grounded" to my self. I feel most connected to this place because of the peace and tranquillity it brings to me just taking in the scenery and movement. The waves are calm and the sound of them hitting against the rocks just bring in a sense of serenity.

My favorite place to go to when i'm down in the dumps or when i'm not feeling good is to go to my backyard. Many fun things have happened in my backyard from swimming in the pond, playing tag, hide and seek, and canoeing. This place is where my friends come because there's so much room to do stuff and just have fun. I like it because it is usually quiet so i can go and think by myself whenever I need too. I've always been fascinated with all the deciduous trees in the fall changing their colors. It was always amazing to come home everyday to chill in the backyard doing homework and looking over to see the beautiful trees and wonderful wildlife in the pond and woods. In winter I just love how the snow sticks to the trees to create a magnificent snow land.

We will spend a lot of time here fishing, boating and paddle-boating, having fires, riding golf carts, and just in general spending time outside. It is a relaxing place where I can spend hours outside on the lake with my family and friends.

I fell most grounded in nature at my grandma's house in Two Inlets, Minnesota. Growing up I lived across the road from her. she lived near the shore of the bay of Two inlets lake. I would always go fishing on the dock and would go around catching frogs. If i was bored I would take out a for-wheeler or a dirt-bike and go out into the state forest. I would enjoy riding the trail and stop and see wildlife. There was a pond behind my house in the woods where I would catch frogs and snakes that hung around there. This is where i probably found my love for animals, especially reptiles and mammals. Even though I had a cat killed by a fox, watching baby foxes play with each other and my uncles dog johnny has made me want to get my own fox and live in an area that is similar to it.
