This tradition started about 4 years ago. As a family, we would all go to the Houston Zoo Lights. We love seeing Christmas lights in my family, so going to the Zoo Lights became a tradition because of all the lights they have. The lights displayed are beautiful and it looks so different at night. I love going to the Zoo Lights because it's a day we all love and it helps us get in the holiday spirit. It started when we finally got our passports up to date. We bring presents as well as receive them. Not going to lie, the day of Christmas is great. I get to see all my relatives as well as enjoy delicious foods such as tamales and frijoles. I like this tradition because spending time with family is important to me, especially since I don't see them most of the year. It started when my mom and step-dad heard from a friend, he said that they should go to Katy street because there was a lot of beautiful lights to see in there for December. Ever since that day my mom and step-dad knew about that place they decided to go there with me and my brother. I sill remember that time we went there for the first time and I felt in love with the place because of they way the people decorated it.
