However because the government are the ones who are of a 'higher-level' people do not dare to oppose them and such their land for housing is given up for places such as shops or corporate buildings or healthcare. Yes it does help the people with opening more job opportunities and healthcare is almost certified, however the most basic of fundamentals is housing. Without housing, people do not have a proper roof to stay under. They risk their belongings however, there is much doubt that they have much anyways. Its not safe for both them and the other people. They have to drink and eat whatever they can get, which most of the times are used, half-eaten, rotten and filled with maggots. The water is unclean and unfiltered sometimes even still with the remains of other people's fecal matter. Men, woman, old and young, people of all ages have to suffer while the government does what they want, thinking about the materialistic needs of others but not the physical consequences of what happens after the housings are destroyed. And destroying the straw houses of others only prompts them to make more.
- One way to solve this is instead of making more buildings and healthcare places, the government can look into make more steady and better housing for people. Just think about it, if billionars all over the world can easily spends millions just for the restoration of the Notre Dame, they can just as easily donate millions for the society of homelessness and help the homeless people. But why are they not helping? But people there might still get sick due to the weather so there can also be tents with trained nurses and doctors who will be the first source to treat their medical problems which are funded through donations making it so that the people living in slums will not have to pay as they are already poor.

Due to people not having the proper materials to build a shelter, they often use recycled material and/or rubbish which has been collected and accumulating alot of bacteria and dust over the long period of time which would then make the residents fall ill. The settlement would be less developed, thus fresh water, electricity and edible food might not be available. Also the houses may be made out of scraps of wood, loose plastic and/or loose cardboard which might not stable enough the withstand harsh weather conditions. This could cause the entire area to be hazardous towards the inhabitants and public as it may collapse anytime.

(3) One solution to reducing housing shortage is to build houses with much more stable structure and materials so that it would not be easy for the house to collapse. They could also build the houses vertically instead of horizontally so as to ensure that there would not be land scarcity. Residents should also be educated about hygiene.

I think that if other countries does what Singapore does which is having a law that everyone has to live in a house, the number of homeless people will decrease. If they don´t have the money, they can borrow from the bank and slowly pay back. Their houses also can be rented and it does not really need to be a big house for them; as long as they have shelter and basic services. If the country really is having a huge housing shortage problem, why not sending those people who are homeless to another country temporarily so that they can find a living there and live in a safer condition.
