Plants are essential to human life. Plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to produce glucose, and the oxygen necessary for human life through photosynthesis. Certain plants can also filter harmful pollutants out of the air we breathe. Clean oxygen lessens suffering from asthma and allergies which, in turn, lessens the burden of healthcare in American society.

Hank Green does an entertaining yet informative job of explaining a process in terms I can understand. The 13 minute video is worth watching as it teaches, in depth, the complex process that is photosynthesis. I found this video during unit 1 and found it very helpful. Hank Green's channel is called "crash course" and has many videos explaining numerous topics over a multitude of subjects.

The diagram shows intercontinental expansion and movement in Europe that came as a result of plant domestication and the impact of trading those plants (or crops).

Randy is a modern industrial corn farmer. This video illustrates the modern farming techniques he employes to gain higher production yields. Randy employs the use of herbicides and mechanical farming equipment. The use of herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers has allowed the huge gains in agriculture, increasing yields exponentially. Randy's corn production can boost local economy and push society into social stratification. Increased stratification allows for more individuals to be employed in more specialized careers around the globe.

CBD health benefits are said to be numerous, including antioxidant, antiemetic, anticonvulsant and anti-tumoral properties. CBD is also said counteracts the psychoactivity of THC and acts as a natural antidepressant and neuroprotective agent. With all the potential benefits and little known drawbacks Cannabis is quickly becoming a powerhouse of influence; changing legislation, the pharmacology industry and the financial hierarchy of those investing in it.

These gases will cause climate change increasing flooding, storms, and other natural disasters. Ocean levels will rise forever changing the landscape of planet earth. Individuals that still have homes above water will struggle with failing health. If nothing changes humankind's future looks bleak.
