The industrial revolution was a great time of advancements in technology, but more inventions are being made daily. So our ways of teaching education should change to fit our new technology.

I think that memorization is important, but not as important as some make it seem. For example, I think that basic multiplication is good to know because you need it daily. I can memorize how to put together a car for a test, but what good is it going to do me if I do not go and apply my knowledge and actually put one together. The information memorized was a pointless waste of time.

Many schools feed students education like a robot, but they expect us to not spit out information like a machine. If information is taught in a fun way, children will be more involved and actually remember what they have been taught.

 Learning about the Industrial revolution showed us how the purpose of school has transitioned along with other things. Back then it was to prepare certain people for certain jobs. For example, only a small percentage of students were educated to go to college. The rest of the students were educated only enough to know how to work in a factory. Now, we are being educated to prepare for jobs that aren't even in function yet.
