In distant field, it focuses on a march that is hosted in honor of soldiers from ANZAC. It is used to remember the people who have died, and also gone through the same events. When reading this poem, one of the things that made me form a connection with this poem is the Black lives matter movement. The reason for this is because there are many marches that are used to honor people and keep their memories alive and to bring awareness to things people have gone through.
