    El juramento a la bandera panameña fue ideado por Ernestina Sucre Tapia y fue adoptado por la Ley 24 de 1959 y confirmado por la 34 de 1949. Siempre el juramento se debe recitar después de ser izada la bandera.


    Se dice de la siguiente manera, levantando la mano derecha a la altura del hombro y mostrando la palma de la mano:

    Bandera panameña: Juro a Dios y a la Patria, amarte, respetarte y defenderte, como símbolo sagrado de nuestra Nación.
