Firstly, I believe that understanding data communications and networks is essential in today's world, especially in my major, Electronic Information Engineering. The concepts in this course will help me build a solid foundation in networking technologies, which play a significant role in both hardware and software systems.

Secondly, as an exchange student, I want to expand my knowledge beyond the traditional electronic systems and dive deeper into how data is transmitted and communicated over networks. This course will provide me with an opportunity to see how communication theories apply in real-world scenarios and how they intersect with electronics.

3. What I want to learn from the course：

From this course, I hope to learn the key principles of data transmission, network protocols, and how different network architectures function. I'm particularly interested in the OSI model, TCP/IP protocols, and how security is handled in data communications. Additionally, I want to understand the role of modern networking technologies like 5G and IoT in the context of electronic information systems.

4. What I am expecting to gain from the course:
