         <description><![CDATA[<div>Louis XVI would summon the Estates General, which consisted of the clergy, nobility, and the commoners. They did this in an attempt to rectify the growing concern over the national debt of France. Louis XVI would proclaim that higher taxes would suffice to decrease the deficit, which greatly angered the commoners. </div>]]></description>

Robbespierre, the committee leader of the Committee of Public Safety, was responsible for creating a dictatorship, and killing off many political enemies. </div>]]></description>
