The real name is Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado y Alonzo Realonda He was born in calamba laguna on june 19, 1861. Hia parents are Mr. Francisco Mercado and Mrs.Teodora Alonzo. His mother was his first teacher. He started home schooling early and continued his education in Biñan, laguna. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Ateneo  de Manila on March 23, 1876 with high honors. His two novels "Noli Me Tangere" and "El Filibusterismo" present the friars' abuses of the Filipinos and corruptions in the Spanish government. On June 18, 1892, Dr. returned to the Philippines. Jose P. Rizal. He founded an organization called "La Liga Filipina." The purpose of the organization is the unity of Filipinos and promote the development of commerce, industry and agriculture. On July 6, 1892, Jose Rizal was imprisoned in Fort Santiago and exiled to Dapitan on July 14, 1892. He stayed in Dapitan for four years where he treated the sick and encouraged the people to open a school. On December 26, 1896, Jose Rizal was sentenced to death because he was accused of starting a rebellion against the Spaniards. Before his end came he wrote "Mi Ultimo Adios" The Last Farewell to make future generations aware to be patriotic.

Learned  a lot while studying this topic. I had knowledge about Rizal's life and his contributions to our country. I saw Rizal our hero in a different perspective. some of us may only know him as our national hero, but for me, I realize that Rizal is also like some of us. He had his struggles and triumphs. he finished and fought for our country. The life of Jose Rizal is a true inspiration. Not just as an ordinary story of a Filipino but a story of a very intelligent and talented Filipino, who is ready to sacrifice his whole life just to give freedom and peace to his family, and his country. It may not be everything about him, but the knowledge that I have learned, is enough to tell myself and other Filipinos and even if not, that he deserves to be what he has become known for.
