<title>When I want to introduce the topic about countable or uncountable food I always use this game. Some days before the game I ask my students to take different foods to school. To play the game you need a bucket with water, paper, crayons and different foods. The bucket is placed on a table in front of the classroom. There must be a certain distance from the bucket to the students&#39; desks because they should not see the bucket inside. Every pupil makes two cards. YES/NO cards. The game starts when the teachers asks a student to say the name of the food he took to school and he or she drops the food in the water. Then, the student asks: &#39;Does it float?&#39; The rest of the students show the YES or NO card predicting if that specific food floats or doesn&#39;t float. That&#39;s the moment when all of them stand up and go towards the bucket to see what happens, if they were right or wrong predicting the floating and the grup discuss if it is possible to count that particular food or it isn&#39;t possible. Little by little all of them go in front of the class repeating the same action. A chard is being made on the board with all the results. They have a lot of fun predictinc and moving around the classroom finding out it that food foats or doesn&#39;t float. This activity is useful to learn food vocabulary, the concepts of countable and uncountable and the third person of singular. I use this game with 5th or 6th students. </title>
