First of all, pit bulls should be allowed to keep as pets because the media is saying their is fake news about pit bulls. Source four states, "News outlets also erroneously report dog attacks. If a dog's breed is unknown, news media will often call it a pit bull." Basically, source 4 is saying that the reporters are just reporting fake news. They don't actually know what dog assaulted the person. It could have been a different type of breed that attacked. The reporters blamed it all on the pit bull.

To begin with the media makes pit bulls appear more vicious than other breeds. James Cross states "The media intentionally over-reports incidents involving pit bulls ,while keeping silent on attacks committed by dogs with better reputations..." Since the media only tells their viewers about the pit bull attacks people catogorize the breed as hazardous or dangerous. This not only stereotypes pit bulls ,but many other innocent breeds as well.

First, I'll explain how pit bulls protect. In the early 1900's, there was this pit bull named Stubby. Once, Stubby ", saved his entire platoon by warning them of a poison gas attack." (source 3, paragraph 4). It is so amazing that a pit bull, a breed that the majority of people dislike, took battle wounds for a human to not get one. That could still happen today if people weren't so negative and mislead about the pit bull breed.
