World War Two taught the world a lot about internment camps and the Holocaust. It is an important lesson because it opened the eyes of people everywhere around the world. It showed them insight to dictators plans, and showed them the truth behind these camps that were supposedly “habitable, clean, and comfortable” for the people within them. It made people realize that things are not always as they seem, and that people put on a positive front for a lot of things that are extremely negative. It notified people to start asking more questions and be more inquisitive instead of assuming things are always fine.

Countless Japanese people had lost there lives and this shows that nuclear weapons are no joke. Nuclear weapons have only gotten more powerful since WW2 and the level of destruction it could cause today is very threatening.

I feel that canada could have worked on things to fix their mistakes but that’s life i guess.

One thing we should learn from WWll is that dictatorships will never work. Hitler caused fear among the people he was leading and out of fear comes rebellions. Dictators want power, and they do everything to get that. Things such as invading other countries just to say that you now own that land and this country doesn’t. If people lead countries out of fear and their only goal is power, then the only thing that will come of it is more wars.

The Second World War taught us a great amount of things, and one of them was to stop imperialistic ideas, expanding empires and using war simply to expand like the Germans did. Ever since that war it has been made law that war for just expansion like the Germans did is illegal in the worlds eye, and this will help prevent many wars. War still happens, but we won't be seeing a nation conquer another nation and annex them as it is illegal, and they will be shoved down by the international community. With imperialistic and empire type ideas thrown out the window for most people, seeing as it is illegal, we probably won't expect another war like the Germans started, by conquering and annexing simply for growing your empire. These ideas of being the biggest and best nation are still around and won't go away anytime soon, but war over growing to be the biggest, and possibly conquer the world will hopefully never happen again due to the new laws for the world, and if it does happen, it won't be as bad as the Second World War and on that large of a scale.

The Second World War has taught us that whatever we do during the war will have an affect on us after the war, so we were racists to Canadian Japanese people by taking there belongings just because the looked like the enemy and after deporting some of them back to Japan, a lot of countries looked at us kinda of how we looked at Germany during the second world like you just look bad and they might not want to work with your country in further years

One of the biggest things that the second world war taught the world is that the world has a lot of hate and prejudice against minority groups. During this war there were a two main groups that were targeted, one for their religion and the other for their race. Hitler lead the nazi’s and targeted the minority group that was the jewish people in Germany he made so many people hate this group ad lead to so many murders of the people of the jewish religion for absolutely no reason other than a person hate. After the bombing in Pearl Harbour the Canadians became nervous of the Japanese living in their country as citizens and basically took all of that race, locked them up and sold their stuff. Most people learned more about racism from these two incidences. Although through a certain American president did not see the faults in what happened during the second war and did not learn from the cruelty in those actions and continues to show patterns of racism against minority groups.
