• I chose this because it emphasizes the significance of teamwork, observation, and individualized support in promoting a child's growth. • My workbook showcases all the different learning experiences I was able to document, as well as creating my own. I truly believe this experience has shaped my childcare career for the better, as I learned something new everyday with the children. Another significant factor was being able to create my own activities. I believe that this helped me understand the curriculum better and know more about how to engage the children.

• Pedagogical Documentation was a research-based project where my partners and I had to discover the meanings of pedagogy and also observe some pedagogical scenarios. We were required to showcase our understanding of child pedagogy and how they play with each other. This was a skillful assignment, giving us all the opportunity to truly set in stone our understanding of child pedagogy.

• This assignment showcases the horrors of residential schools in Canada. This artifact is very important to me because it includes the backstory as well as the victims own personal stories. This will be beneficial to me in my future field because it allows me to learn about he First Nations cultures, and the horrible events that occurred along with them.

• This assignment focuses on the demographic of people who lost theirs jobs/were being mistreated. This documentary really put into perspective the respect we should have as ECE for families who are going through difficult financial situations, and doing everything in our power to ensure that these families are being treated with respect and care.

• The CPR & First Aid certificates are one of my many accomplishments for becoming a future ECE. I was taught different methods on how to ensure the safety of people around me, and how tactics for the worst situations (choking, drowning, etc.). These skills are vital for my future career as an ECE, since I will have to guaranty the safety of the children under my supervision. These are great artifacts that represent my knowledge in the safety subunits and are excellent skills to have on the field.

• I completed my food handler certificate in Winnipeg MB, and I believe it's a great artifact for health practices. I gained a lot of knowledge on different ways to handle food/preparation skills. I was also taught about the food chains and proper nutrition for the students. I believe will ultimately benefit myself and the children who I will work for in the near future.

• To prepare my future as an ECE, it's important to know about the advocacy is for helping children and families. For example, through organizations like Family & Children’s Services St. Thomas & Elgin. This organization plays a key role in ensuring children's safety and well-being, and I plan to advocate for their needs by creating safe and supportive environments. By identifying early signs of distress in children, I will work with Family & Children’s Services to provide essential support, build trusting relationships with families, and increase community awareness about child protection and available resources.

• The Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS) plays a crucial role in this effort. OACAS involves ensuring children's safety, helping families access necessary resources, and promoting the value of ECE. By supporting policies that encourage early intervention and child protection, I can connect families to vital support, especially in times of crisis. Promoting recognition for the ECE profession is also important, as we significantly impact children's lives and contribute to broader child welfare initiatives. • My self-assessment assignment was an excellent opportunity for professional learning. Not only did it allow me to understand myself better, but also create guides for how to improve in my workplace/career. I would also say it falls under the research aspect, as I was researching about myself and the meanings of the questions too.
