A negative to robots is that we lack a lot of  the expenses  and the expertise to repair or build robots 

Robots can do things that humans can’t or in half the time a human can. They keep a lot of humans safe from the dangerous jobs they can and do. They can sometimes produce a higher quality of a product than a human.

Robots save companies the expense of paying workers.

Robots take away alot of jobs from the humans that need them. 

Robots can do more invasive surgeries with less risk than a human surgeon

3D printers also will help entrepreneurs and business get their product on the market and help them make a statement in the Business world 

Robots make a big difference in space exploration, they can explore planets we can’t and take pictures farther out than humans can wander. They also help with repairs to the shuttle while the astronauts are in space.

In the military they use robots to scope out enemy moves and explosives, they send the robots out on the field first before humans to make sure that they are safe.

Robots  also helps build and repair automotives.

A negative to robots is that 47% of U.S. jobs are at "high risk" of computerization over the next two decades. All manner of positions could fall by the wayside, including jobs in transport and logistics, construction, mining, food preparation, and the police force. Even roles you might think of as "high value"—like doctors and lawyers—could be undermined that study found.

Robots don't drown or succumb to pressure so they can explore the ocean deeper than we ever could without them. 

Robota assist in duct cleaning by going into the too tight and hazardous spaces humans can't get to.

Robots help clean up oil spills, and help heal the environment, without them the oil spills might still be contaminating the ocean.
