The kangaroo rat is almost perfectly adapted to life in the desert. They can survive without ever drinking any water, getting needed moisture from their seed diet. They have excellent hearing and can even detect the silent sound of an owl approaching. Their large back legs enable them to jump up to 9 feet (2.75m) in one jump in order to escape predators.

Proper hydration is a huge issue for people.
-Water regulates internal body temperature. Through the process of sweat production and evaporation, one’s body can avoid overheating. The number of times that the tube could be refilled would be limited due to the use of biodegradable materials.

For the final prototype the green sponges represent natural sponges. I would use natural sponges because if swallow they are not harmful. There are 2 sizes for adults and older children. The Ziploc bag represents a plastic reusable container. These will be easy to store. This allows for athletes, hikers, and others to re-hydrate on the go.
