The technique was meant to simulate how clouds are made in the sky through condensation of vapors. I was actually excited to do it and feel like I learned more through being engaged with the external stimuli.
-My Highschool Agriculture teacher was teaching a lesson on soil profiling. He wanted us to collect a soil sample from our own backyard so we could see what the soil was made up of. I got the chance to reflect on my past experiences with literacy and express my literacy preferences as a student. I think this was a very effective means of learning because it made me reflect on how I learned to read and how I might teach my students to read in the future.
-I had to reflect on a video of a literacy teacher teaching a lesson and then instructing them on guided reading and independent reading practices. I thought this was very helpful to me because it gave me insight on the methods teachers use when they want to help students comprehend what they read. We have used flip grid to conversate with each other about various topics and it helped me remember various details about everyone who posted in the introduction post. I think that it is very beneficial that you can share a video comment to someone else because email does not always carry tone of voice and body language with the message so it can be easily misunderstood.
-I have also experienced this type of meaningful learning when we were asked to create an IEP document for a college teaching class. I liked the idea of working as a group because we could finish it in time that way and still effectively cover everything that needed to be in the document. We were given real money and told how much each dollar cost. The teacher then gave us a catalog of toys and asked what all we would buy with twenty dollars. 
-Personal finance class in high school also gave me plenty of chances to connect real world applications to what we were learning. I learned how to balance my checkbook with a real check register and how to write a check. I am willfully engaged in the content because I see the need to become an effective teacher as part of my career goals. -My second experience was in a social studies methods class last semester. I had to research Autism organizations and how they might be seen as more than a label.
