         <description><![CDATA[<div>NAFSA encourages networking among professionals, convenes conferences and collaborative dialogues, and promotes research and knowledge creation to strengthen and serve the field. They lead the way in advocating for a better world through international education. NAFSA's 10,000 members are located at more than 3,500 institutions worldwide, in over 150 countries. It contains five focus groups that sponsors 15 professional networks:<br><strong><br>Education Abroad</strong></div><div>The Knowledge Community for Education Abroad (EA) serves professionals who advise U.S. students engaging in study, internship, work, and volunteer opportunities abroad; directors and administrators of such programs; representatives of overseas institutions that accept U.S. students; and faculty and administrators involved in international educational exchange. EA supports three networks and one special focus group: The Education Abroad Knowledge Community Network (EAKC-Network), Center for Capacity Building in Study Abroad Network and the Special Focus Network: Simon Act Initiatives.</div><div><br><strong>International Education Leadership</strong></div><div>This knowledge community addresses the needs of international professionals engaged in visioning, coordinating, and building commitment for internationalization, working at the nexus of administration, faculty, and international education services. Senior international officers, directors of international education, and others in similar positions who lead internationalization efforts on their campuses, or hope to do so in the future, can benefit from subscribing to this network. Two networks support IEL activities: Leading Internationalization Network and International Education Leader Development Network.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAFSA:_Association_of_International_Educators#cite_note-5"><sup><br></sup></a><br></div><div><strong>International Enrollment Management</strong></div><div>International Enrollment Management (IEM) Knowledge Community (KC) addresses the needs of professionals working in admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, marketing, credential evaluation, intensive English programs, sponsored program agencies, and overseas advising. Five networks support IEM activities: Admissions and Credential Evaluation Network, English Language Training &amp; Administration Network, Marketing and Recruiting Network, Overseas Educational Advising Network and Sponsored Program Administration Network.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAFSA:_Association_of_International_Educators#cite_note-6"><sup><br></sup></a><br></div><div><strong>International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS)</strong></div><div>This knowledge community provides professional development opportunities for international student and scholar advisers and for those who work or volunteer in campus-and community-based international programming. Three networks support ISSS activities: International Student Advising Network, International Scholar Advising Network, Campus and Community Programming Network.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NAFSA:_Association_of_International_Educators#cite_note-7"><sup><br></sup></a><br></div><div><strong>Teaching, Learning and Scholarship</strong></div><div>The Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship knowledge community (TLS) fosters connections among scholarship, policy, and practice in international education. Three networks support TLS activities: Research and Scholarship Network, Intercultural Communication &amp; Training Network and Internationalizing Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum.</div><div>  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=53068"><strong>Cuba Engagement Initiative</strong></a> <br>NAFSA is making an effort to build sustainable partnerships and expand opportunities for collaboration between U.S. and Cuban academic institutions.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=48702"><strong>Diversity Programs</strong></a> <br>Diversity Impact Programs supports professionals from underrepresented institutions by helping them expand capacity, grow study abroad, and increase student global competencies. The goal is to build diversity within international education, both in the development of professionals and by assisting these institutions in their efforts promoting internationalization on their campuses.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=50552"><strong>NAFSA Strategic Retreats</strong></a> <br>This program is designed for directors, deans, faculty, and professionals with extensive experience in education abroad or international enrollment management. It focuses on a broader view of education abroad or international enrollment management at a NAFSA Strategic Retreat. Each retreat’s theme serves as a launching point to discuss improving student learning outcomes through education abroad or international enrollment management.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=49572"><strong>Global Learning Colloquia</strong></a> <br>Faculty, academic leaders, and international educators come together to explore global learning in disciplinary and cross-disciplinary contexts.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=142"><strong>Management Development Program</strong></a> <br>Offer courses for professionals to take their career to the next level with the most trusted and comprehensive management training program for international education professionals.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=49576"><strong>Provosts Summit</strong></a> <br>A unique opportunity for academic leaders to engage in deep conversation about the critical teaching, learning, resource, and design issues facing institutions today.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=52870"><strong>Seminar on Peace and the Global Civil Society</strong></a> <br>Come together with preeminent peacebuilders to explore how to incorporate the ideals, theories, and practices of peacebuilding into educational programming.</div><div><br></div><div><a href="http://www.nafsa.org/WorkArea/linkit.aspx?LinkIdentifier=ID&amp;ItemID=3264"><strong>Symposium on Leadership</strong></a> </div><div>Gather with higher education leaders to examine the global demands on international higher education and share comparative perspectives and lessons learned.<br><br></div><div> </div>]]></description>
