Today our group had a meeting where we began creating our website. We started with a clear goal: to make learning a second language at home more engaging and fun. As a result, I was primarily responsible for the technical aspects, and I began utilizing a variety of resources, including discussing the importance of intuitive web design and user engagement, which are integral parts of our site. Of course, this was a big challenge for me as well, and I visited a lot of websites and watched a lot of videos about creating websites. In the end, we decided on a few key features: 1. a Padlet community for collaborative learning, and 2. a textbook viewer for easy access to learning materials. We also wanted to include a real-time AI dialogue for practicing spoken English, but this was a bit too much for us as we don't have anyone who can create such an AI dialogue system, and we'll do our best to find the right software to add to our site.

Today's work had a big impact on me, I was thinking of relying entirely on Chat gpt to get it done and I just didn't care very much about it until today when I delved into the details of creating a website and realized that it wasn't that simple and that it would be very difficult to make all the things we need.

In fact, this time I learned a lot of practical skills by using Chat gpt, which really helps me a lot in my future study and work, making videos and feed transcripts is a skill, and to make the exact video you want you need to do more details before submitting the request.

After completing the first two days, the focus of the day shifted to a detailed overhaul of the site, where we chose to use images, videos, etc. as backgrounds to increase interactivity. As suggested, animated scrolling and hover effects were incorporated to highlight key learning tools and resources on the site. Quizzes and interactive exercises that provide instant feedback then became a central part of the site we created. Of course, we haven't done a great job of this yet, as it has been very challenging for us. We would like to gain more insights as we test the site and we need tons of suggestions to make our site better. Overall, working on the site was both fun and challenging, and we worked very hard to overcome those challenges. I was also inspired to want to learn more about artificial intelligence and instructional technology.

We first made 2 versions of the website but we both felt that it didn't meet our expectations, it could contain all the content but it was very different from what we wanted to convey, so I searched for articles and videos on website interactivity and admired the people who made the website, their ideas were original and effective. We made changes and hopefully we can make a website that everyone is happy with.

The process of creating this website has been a refresher of my concept of teaching a second language, initially my ideas existed only in the context of existing teaching methods, but as I engaged in the feedback and subsequent revisions of the website, I realized that creating successful educational web pages is a matter of integrating the impact of design and development elements on the user experience, just as engaging content and intuitive design can transform a website into an experience. Through reading and research, I have concluded that applying interactive strategies in language education can significantly enhance comprehension and retention. That's why I've been experimenting with various interactive approaches to compare learner-centered methods in website creation. But I don't think I'm doing enough because both fields require a deep understanding of user needs and preferences to create experiences that are not only easy to understand but also rich. Finding innovative approaches and perspectives in both technology and education is a very rewarding but not easy task. This experience has taught me to enrich my skills and also to enrich my ideas.
