The construction methods of Neolithic monuments, like Egyptian pyramids, involved moving large stones. Dolmens,

such as Cueva de Menga in Spain, were tombs made of large stones topped with others and buried under artificial hills. Menhirs were single upright stones for religious purposes. Stonehenge featured carefully aligned stones, possibly for astronomical rituals.
