This is a photo of an airport in the Bahamas. The runways in the Bahamas airports have to be paved with concrete or asphalt surfaces or they can have unpaved runways with grass, earth, sand, or gravel. It has multiple runways for multiple planes to take off and also has paved runways like it’s supposed to so the airport won’t break the law. With multiple runways, it is much more important for them to have paved runways. Major destinations for Bahama’s exports are the USA, the UK, and Japan. A very important holiday that they celebrate is Majority Day. Majority day celebrates The Bahamas gaining majority rule for the first time on January 10, 1967 This symbolizes the promise of equality and fair play for all Bahamians. Another important tradition to the citizens of The Bahamas is Bahamas Independence day. Bahamas Independence day celebrates the day when The Bahamas became a fully independent nation in 1973, separating from the United Kingdom.

This is a photo of a few Bahamians full in action ready to express their feelings through arts, music, and dance. Bahamians’ often show their culture through music and dance. Their culture is often shown in a unique rhythmic music in long held traditions as told in popular folklore in an enduring oral tradition. It is a culture that has evolved from a mixture of mostly African, combined with some British colonial and American influences, to a unique and colourful style of Bahamian self expression. Another way Bahamians show their expression is through art. The energetic colours and popping themes of Junkanoo come together to express their anger and life problems, social struggles, and religion related problems.
