I know that one way is that earth has gravity which makes building’s stand and NOT fall over but a more reasonable way is that buildings is well balanced so that the building won’t tip or fall over. But what I think why building’s don’t tip over is that there could be a big giant platform under the ground supporting the building, for example let’s take sky tower, there could be a giant platform underneath that supports the weight out the tower. The strongest material that I can think of is steel, concrete and brick. You have to have aprovals when building a new building or skyscraper with permission. One other reason to mention is bridges, they are long and very big, they need to hold up at least around 200 cars at once which means that they have to be well balanced and that they have a nice strong structure otherwise the bridge would just all fall apart leaving the vehicles stranded in the ocean which I guess is not what we want…. One other example is the leaning tower of Pisa which we might’ve all learned today in reading, the tower is leaning so there must be some sort of structure that holds all this weight up, the answer to that is that the centre of gravity is kept within the base so that the leaning tower of Pisa does not fall.

I think I know that most buildings need a rule. I think this is because if you build a building that is to tall it would affect others. You also need to use strong materials if the weather in that certain place has bad weather or other things. If there is a building underwater it might be waterproof materials or things that won’t go rusty under the water. The tower or building needs to be a certain height or have a stronger base to hold the things inside

I think the sky tower can be stable because it is made out of strong materials. I also know that buildings need to be well-balanced so it won’t tip over. They have to cope with gravity to make the building stand nice and strong. Also there could be a strong big platform at the bottom to hold it up so it won’t fall. Buildings also need other people to agree, for instance some places are called Apartment Zone. That means in that zone you could always add a layer and in some places like the Urban Zone. You might not be able to. But also how it is constructed. Like for instance a bridge. Bridges need two stable ends to make it suitable for 100 cars to fit, how wide and long is also something they need to think about. Thinking about the weather and the height is something you will need to do because if the weather there always has floods then you need to make a house that is able to cope with water…

Skyscrapers won't fall because the concrete that's used to make these tall buildings is strengthened with steel rods and beams. This steel makes up the “skeleton” of the skyscraper.

Tall buildings need to first be planned out very carefully to make sure nothing goes wrong. Also, they need to be bottom heavy, so they don’t fall over, sometimes, people even dig underground and attach a big weight to the bottom of the building to make it secure. If you are talking about a bridge, then you need to set out a plan too. And you need to have pillars at the bottom so it is secure.

Firstly, you have to plan your building. You need to think carefully about what you are going to use to secure the building and think of the shape of your building so it can hold lots of things inside and it won’t topple over. You also need to check where you are going to build your building and see if it is a place where for example sun comes more for solar panels. The building has to cope with lightning, storms and it has to be waterproof otherwise when it rains, the rain will flood the building. You need a team to help you build the building, and you have to agree with your team to make the best building. It will probably take a long time to plan and build your building, but hard work pays off.
