Romeo and Juliet fall madly in love after the first time seeing each other. Without even talking to each other they both knew they were in love, or as some people call it, love at first sight. In the story it states, " The measure done, I'll watch her place of stand/ And, touching hers, make blessed my rude hand./ Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight!/ For I ne'er saw true beauty till this night"(Rom. 1. 5. 46-49). This is the start of the whole problem. Romeo's impulsive behavior in this moment to fall in love is the reason everything bad happened. If he hadn't impulsively fallen in love it could have saved everybody that died. Just another example of how teens being too impulsive is negative for everyone. I made a bumper sticker that Romeo would put on the back of his car. He may have just met her but that doesn't matter to him. It represents how fast he fell in love with Juliet.

In "Romeo and Juliet" it is the split second, no thinking decisions that result in negative implications later. One of these is their decision to get married. They are convinced that they can't live without each other and need to get married to be together forever. In the text is states, " By holy marriage. When, and where, and how/ We met, we wooed, and made exchange of vow/ I'll tell thee as we pass; but this I pray,/ That thou consent to marry us today"(Rom. 2. 3. 61-64). Any normal human would wait quite a bit of time before getting married. The impulsion of Romeo and Juliet to get married when Juliet is just 13 clearly shows how they are naive and they are over pursuing what they think they have. With this, I created a wedding invitation for them to hand out. They have to make sure that they don't let their families find out. They are also being impulsive with this decision because now there families can easily find out.

The actions of Romeo and Juliet affected their families in a very detrimental way. They were the reason for several of each other's relatives' deaths. Their impulse for each other was the reason people lost their lives. In the story it describes how Juliet reacts to Tybalt's death, "Shall I speak ill of him that is my husband?/ Ah, poor my lord, what tongue shall sooth thy name/ When I, why three-hours' wife, have mangled it?/ But wherefore, villain, didst thou kill my cousin?/ That villain cousin would have killed my husband"(Rom. 3. 2. 97-101). She refers to both Romeo and Tybalt as a villain. However, she doesn't blame Romeo for killing Tybalt because she thinks Tybalt would have killed him. Her love for him is covering up how she should actually feel about the situation. In her eyes, there is no villain or Tybalt is the villain. I created what would be Romeo's texts to Juliet after killing Tybalt. It shows how Juliet's impulsive for him is covering up what he did.

The theme in Romeo and Juliet was that the impulsivity of youth can be over pursued. However, it was not just them who were responsible for it. They were encouraged and helped through the whole process by the Friar and the Nurse. The friar made a plan that led to both of them dead, all because he decided to concede to the idea of getting married after 2 days was a good thing. A older figure is supposed to be wise and represent wisdom. The Friar however, was anything but wise when helping Romeo and Juliet be together. With this I created a award for the Friar. An award for the worst plan to have Romeo and Juliet reunite. All of the tragedy in the end of the story was because Friar let Romeo and Juliet pursue each other too fast.

The theme of Romeo and Juliet is through this creation because it shows various instances of how Romeo and Juliet's own impulsiveness led to their downfall. Throughout the crossword we see various examples of the lives that had been hurt by Romeo and Juliet's antics which brought harm and misfortune to their family and theirselves. This clearly shows the dangers of over impulsivity as the actions they took throughout the story might have been for love but their outcome was the sadness of everyone around them. Love is an important thing but it can also be dangerous as seen by these two.

This creation was created to show the speed at which Romeo and Juliet developed their love. The impultion and speed at which they developed their love was irrational. The quotes have the overall idea of taking your time going slow, exactly what Romeo and Juliet didn't do. However, in the story Juliet has a instance of reflect, thinking maybe they are going to fast. It states in the text, "Well, do not swear. Although I joy in thee,/ I have no joy of this contract tonight./ It is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden;"(Rom. 2. 2. 116-118). This idea was removed from her mind soon after by Romeo. They had instances of being more mature, but couldn't continue it. All of this showing how impulsive they can really be.

This graffiti shows how the theme of impulsiveness because while this is purely fictional at the core this is something Romeo and Juliet would do. While they may be only kids their devotion to each other is incredibly strong even in today's terms. This love while strong is often dangerous as seen by the end of the story with the deaths. This graffiti represents this because while it is a sweet gesture of love it also reckless and dangerous to deface property representing every action this couple takes. Every step they take while for their love is often much too dangerous to be worth it. Every decision they make hurts someone leaving a trail of blood everywhere they go showing the true dangerous of impulsive love. This is shown through the quote, " 'Tis torture, and not mercy. Heaven is here, Where Juliet lives; "(Act 3, Scene 3). This quote further shows their extreme devotion because in this scene Romeo had just nearly escaped the death penalty from the prince but even still he is not grateful because he would be without Juliet. Romeo would rather die than be without his love and while this seems like a sweet gesture it goes to show just how foolish and impulsive he truly is. Romeo is still young and has his whole life ahead of him but he's willing to throw it all away for his love showing the dangers of their impulsivity.

This business card once again shows impulsiveness not of Romeo and Juliet but of Friar Lawrence. The Friar is a grown adult and yet the decisions he takes throughout the play show his childlike foolishness. He masterminds every foolish plan and decision the couple takes that leads to the death of many, including Romeo and Juliet. As an adult from the very beginning, he should've been trying to prevent the couple from acting foolishly but instead, he actively encourages it. This is all because he desired to stop the feud between the Montagues and Capulets but in doing so he led two youths towards their deaths. This business card reflects this because it shows his failures as a matchmaker and as an adult taking care of Romeo and Juliet. This impulsiveness is seen by the quote, " Either be gone before the watch be set, Or by the break of day disguised from hence. Sojourn in Mantua. I'll find out your man, And he shall signify you from time to time Every good hap to you that chances here"(Act 3 Scene 3). This quote reflects the Friar because while he did console Romeo in the beginning he soon conceived a hare-brained scheme that was far too dangerous to be carried out. While the Friar did in fact have good intentions the creation of this very plan as seen by the quote was where the Friar made the biggest mistake. He actively deceived both the Montagues and Capulets while at the same time leading their children towards a foolish plan carried out by nothing more than foolish teenage impulsivity. If the Friar acted in a more responsible manner much of the stories tragedies could have been avoided. The dangers of impulsivity affect more than teenagers but everyone around us as well.
