In this video an individual drops a tablet into water to produce effervescence. After he dropped the tablet in the water there were bubbles being produced. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place because the water beforehand did not have bubbles in it, but after the tablet was dropped in the appearance of the water changed. The evidence which is the bubbles are an indicator of effervescence, because a gas is being released when the tablet is dropped into the water which creates the effervescence. Since effervescence is being formed, it is a chemical reaction.

This video is similar to the last one, but in this video we get to see a better view of what is actually happening to the tablet. When the tablet was dropped into the water it immediately started to dissolve at a medium rate, and also was releasing gas bubbles at a high clip. I know that a chemical reaction is happening, because before the tablet was dropped in the water you could see straight through the glass of water. After the tablet was dropped in there was gas bubbles being released which shows effervescence, thereforth the bubbles affected the view through the glass of water. As I explained before I know that the bubbles are an indicator of effervescence, because of the tablet releasing gas and it trying to escape the glass.

In this video there is an experiment that shows the caramelization of sugar. The woman mixed sugar and water into a pan that put caramel in it after the sugar and water were mixed together. After the caramel was in she turned on the stove and it boiled. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place in this video, because I can see steam coming out of the pan which means that the water is leaving the caramel by itself giving it a different smell then before. This evidence is an indicator of Aroma because of the smell that the caramel is giving off after the water, sugar, and caramel were boiled. Since the caramel is giving off a smell, it is a sign that a chemical reaction is happening.

In this article they test a science experiment when they combine citric acid (Lemons in this case) and baking soda. When they combined they had a fizzy and bubbly reaction with a great smell. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place in this experiment, because there was a gas produced which is carbon dioxide. There was also a nice lemon scent when the two mixed. The evidence of this experiment shows that Aroma is an indicator of a chemical reaction, because when the two combined they produced a smell. Since there was a scent in the air, it is a chemical reaction.

In the video clip the woman is mixing colors in each flask with one another, so it produces a color to mix with the next flask. She mixed the green flask with the other mysterious liquid which produced a pink color. She then mixed the pink flask with the other mysterious liquid which produced a blue color. Finally, she mixed the blue color with the last mysterious liquid which made a purple color. I know that there is a chemical reaction taking place, because there are two liquids mixing with each other that make a color change. I also know that there is a chemical reaction happening, because the color from the reactant changed to the product and didn't stay the same color. This evidence is an indicator of a color change because the liquids are changing colors every time she mixes them. Since there was a color change happening, it is a chemical reaction.

In this video Potassium permanganate (KMnO4) is mixed with a sugar and soda solution. When they are mixed they create many different colors at the beginning, but then it stays as a green color for 10 seconds before it turns into a yellow color at the end. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place, because the color is always changing throughout the video. I also know a chemical reaction is taking place, because it started as a purple color and then ended up as a yellow color. This evidence is an indicator of a color change, because of way it changes color throughout the video, and doesn't stay as the same color. Since a color change is occuring, a chemical reaction is happening.

In this video the man mixes Vinegar and Baking Soda together. He had a temperature probe in the vinegar which was about 17 degrees celsius. When he put the baking soda into the vinegar though, the temperature dropped. I know that a chemical reaction is occuring because there is a spike in the temperature. The dip in temperature means that an endothermic reaction is also taking place, because the vinegar is absorbing the baking soda's heat. The evidence of the chemical reaction is an indicator of a temperature change since he showed the picture of the temperature dropping, and an endothermic reaction is taking place within the mixture of the two. Since a temperature change is occuring, that means it is a chemical reaction.

In this video an individual pours water onto wood and then puts Ammonium Thiocyanate in a flask, which then measured at 21.2 degrees celsius. He then put Barium Hydroxide Octahydrate in the flask. After the two were in the flask he stirred it around which caused the temperature to drop to -06.4 degrees celsius. I know that a chemical reaction is occuring because the two solutions mixed to create a liquid causing it to stick to the board with water on it. I also know that a chemical reaction is taking place because of the mixture being absorbed by the heat causing it to freeze, which is an endothermic reaction. My evidence is an indicator of a temperature change because he shows the temperature dipping in degrees. It also shows a temperature change because the solution was not frozen at the beginning and then became frozen later on. Since a temperature change is happening, it is a chemical reaction.

In this video potassium chlorate (K2CrO4) and silver nitrate (AgNO3) which are both liquids, mix to create a solid substance. The individual adds 3 drops of potassium chromate and 1 drop of silver nitrate. When they show a closer image of what the two compounds created, you can see a red solid was formed. I know that a chemical reaction is occuring because there is a completely different substance then the two compounds at the beginning of the reaction. The evidence of this chemical reaction is an indicator of a precipitate forming, because there were two liquid compounds at the before the reaction and when they mixed they formed a solid at the end of the reaction. Since a precipitate is forming, it is a chemical reaction.

When she dumps the copper sulfate into the sodium carbonate you can see a bunch of different things that are happening in the flask. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place because you can see an immediate color change, and you can also see the solid particles being formed at the bottom of the flask. This evidence is an indicator of a precipitate forming because there was two liquid solution at the beginning of the reaction, and after they were mixed they formed a solid. Since a precipitate was formed, a chemical reaction is occurring.

I also know a chemical reaction is happening because it has different properties than the bowl with just Iron and Sulfur in it. This evidence is an indicator of a new substance being produced since there is different properties within the two bowls, and there is a color change which shows the color of the new substance. I know that a chemical reaction is taking place because before the two substances were mixed there was just vinegar and baking soda in their own beakers. After they were mixed the two created a new substance which was different than before the reaction. The reaction was a liquid that overflowed the cup and had bubbles everywhere. This evidence is an indicator of a new substance being produced because there was two different substances before the reaction, and then there was a giant liquid reaction after they were mixed which was the new substance. Since a new substance is occuring, a chemical reaction is taking place.
