They use the word ahisma to describe how they should treat other human beings. ahisma means
"doing no harm"
Hindus believe that all beings are a part of God, so if you harm somebody than you harm yourself this is how karma works.

Love is God. Just as God cannot be defined, Love too cannot be defined. God is an experience, all attempts at defining or understanding God are incomplete, similarly Love can only be experienced, it cannot really be fully understood. It is Love that runs the Universe. However by love I do not mean the 'attachment' between man and woman that commonly occurs in human relationships. but this love is more spontaneous, unconditional and happens as a result of total self-knowledge.

They practise it by

not hating other being.

not harming any other being.

not killing any other being.

not annoying any other being.

wishing metta to all other beings.

It doesn't only bring happiness to others, but it comes back.

Love draws us out into the world, not away from it. But the seeds of love implanted in each of us must be cultivated to become effective in the world. This paper will explore what certain Buddhist texts have to say about the cultivation of love (metta/maitrī/byams-pa). Its intent will be to point out the harmonious message coming from texts of different Buddhist traditions. [Karen C. Lang]
