Gisely.sanchez: When the giver was planning and telling Jones that he could go to elsewhere and return all the memories, and when this is happening Jones said to the Giver ´´Giver,´´ Jones suggested,´´you and I don´t need to care about the rest of them.´´ The Giver looked at him with a questioning smile. Jones hung his head.Of course they need to care.It was the meaning of everything.´´In other words Jones is felling like they don't care about them because they stole there memories and that they don´t need to care about them.´´The author is trying to make us see that we need memories in our life so that we feel loved and cared for. This story/ passage had a significant impact on my thinking about how we need color, love, and other memories because we need to strong and have feelings so we don't kill someone.´´This is what I think the quote means.

In the book, the giver Jonas tells the giver “you and I don’t need to care about the rest of them” then Jonas realized “of course they need to care. It was the meaning of everything”
In other words, Jonas is the receiver of memories, and when the giver is planning to help Jonas escape and Jonas wants him to come because they do not need to care about them. Then Jonas realizes that holding the memories means that caring about the people was everything
The author is trying to make us see that sometimes caring is just a big part of the job. The author also makes me see that Jonas is sad about the giver not going with Jonas. The author is also showing man vs self because he has to let himself act caring is a part of the job and that he will need to leave the giver.
This story had a significant impact on my thinking about what caring is. To explain in more detail Jonas had to make a choice on leaving so the people in the community would care about the giver and so the giver can show that he cares about them too. In our world sometimes we have to make sacrifices to show the people around us that we care about them. I see this in our world a lot of people give up opportunities of a lifetime, skip things that are important, and they even take the blame for other people. Just to show that they care about other people. This quote means to care means to make sacrifices just to prove that we care about others.

When The Giver was telling Jonas the plan Jonas was feeling a little overwhelmed and was just thinking of himself, that's how this Quote is brought up. “Giver”, Jonas suggested, “ You and i don't need to care about the rest of them.” The Giver looked at him with a questioning smile. Jonas hung his head. Of course they needed to care. It was the meaning of everything. Therefore Jonas needs to leave the Community so that they get their memory. In other words Jonas is not really caring about the important thing which is helping the community get their memories back because they are the only ones that have their memory back. So they need to think of others. The author is trying to make us see that Jonas needs to leave the community so that all of the people living there can get her memories back. But Jonas is being rude because he wants The Giver to go with him. But Jonas doesn’t seem to understand that some of the memories they get will be bad and hurtful so The Giver needs to stay and care for them. This quote is important because in the text they needed to care for the rest of the community. Real world applications and connections can be drawn from the quote by the government because they can care for all of the world. This story had a significant impact on my thinking about how we should care for others and not be selfish. Like if someone is talking and someone is trying to listen. That would be rude and we need to care for others like in the quote.

Jonas said the quote”giver” suggested“ you and I don't need to care about the rest of them.”Also Jones said it to the giver and the purpose was because he thought they didn't need to care but actually it was the meaning to everything” and he thought that they could leave the community because no need to care not ca
What is happening in the story is Jonas is saying that they don't need to care about anything because Jonas thought that that eh and giver could leave the community without caring about anybody
What it means is that Jonas thinks that he could leave the community with the giver and just go without him caring about anybody in the community. Also what it tell us about the characters is that he would not care about anything the conflict is that the is leaving soon I think and theme is that you are free to do what ever you want.
What this quote means is that Jonas is being selfish because he is not caring about anybody when he is going to else where with the giver. Also this idea in the world is good I guess because you cant handle something You just have to get out of there
”Also Jones said it to the giver and the purpose was because he thought they didn't need to care but actually it was the meaning to everything”

What he was saying is that he cant handle being in this community so he has to go else where with the giver.
What the author is trying to tell us that you cant handle something and you just have to do something like go somewhere else do it.

This is important because sometimes you cant handle something you have to do something about it then do it.What is in the real world is something is going on in your family and something very bad is happening and have to tell someone then do it. The impact that it has in my thinking about what is going to happened to Jonas when they discover him leaving.

Jones said that they needed to care and that was the meaning of everything. The purpose of him saying that was he cared not only about friends and family but for other people too.
What's happening in the story for jones to say what he said is the baby was killed and the old man the giver did not seem to care. The giver said to joans that they did not matter only he and joans did.
This quote ment that Jonas and the giver above everybody meaning that nobody else really mattered besides them. This The Giver has a really important job in the community. The theme of this quote was that the giver and the receiver were the ones that realy materd.
This quote made me feel like that saying this person matters more than him or my family and that is not true. I think that their town is very messed up in many different ways. What does this quote mean to me? It makes me feel as if they should not care about anyone eals.

This happened at the end of chapter 19. The old man called The Giver said it himself and it was after they watched the baby be killed.
If i put this in other words it would be that no one else matters really besides them the giver and Jonas.
I feel that the author was trying to set the mood after something sad happened be say we matter and no one eles does.
I think this quote could help lead to that Jonas was meant to be more than what he was chosen as. That quote is what made me think this way.

The quote was said to the giver.Jonas said the purpose of the quote was saying that they only need to care about each other. There talking about the other people of the community And if the giver leaves then there Is it going to be anyone to care for the community. The quote means That Jonas doesn't like his dad as much anymore and they should only care for each other. The quote Reveals that Jonas would rather stay with the giver then his dad He doesn't like his dad as much because the dad killed the baby Jonas would rather Have both babies live than one die.The quote means to me Right That Jonas would rather be away from home then with his dad. I don't see this idea good in the world because that would get many haters and violence could happen to the person who kills the baby.Jonas says he wants to runaway bc his dad killed a baby.We don't need to care about the rest of them.Daughter's trying to make a beat that you need each other. The quote is important to be trying to make a see something. The real world applications and connections that can be drawn from the meaning of this quote are When you're mad at people and you just don't want them.It impacted my thinking because it brought real-world stuff out of the book.

This quote was said by Jonas and he said it to The Giver. The purpose of this is to make the story interesting and for the people who are reading the book to have an idea of what's going to come next. What's happening is that the story gets really interesting because Jonas and the Giver come up with a plan so Jonas can leave the community. Jonas is begging the Giver to come with him on the trip. But the Giver doest want to go because when his work is done he would want to go with his daughter. Her name was Rosemary. This quote means that Jonas and the Giver are not going to care about the rest of the people who live in their community. They are going to move on with their lives and only care about themselves. What this quote means to me is that they are going to forget about their family, parents, siblings and friends. I really dont see this idea in the world because people need family and friends to be there for them and to talk to them. If they didn't have anyone, only one person I would understand. But in my opinion family, friends, and other people are important. My family and friends are everything because they will always be there for me no matter what. When the Giver tells Jonas that he was not going to go with him Jonas was surprised because he thought that he was going to say yes. In other words from now on the story is going to be only of Jonas and his new mission. The author is trying to make us see that the book is going to get interesting and that probably the Giver is going to see his daughter again. This story/passage had a significant impact on my thinking about people not caring about their family. This could sometimes happen and it's really sad to see that. I would never stop caring for family and friends because i don't know what i would do if i didn't have them be part of my life.

When Jonas finds out that releasing means to kill people, He decides to run away because he refuses to go back home and suggests for the giver to go with him. He tells the Giver how he should leave with him and how why he shouldn’t care for the rest of the citizens.
In other words, he doesn’t trust the home he grew up with and will run away from it to protect himself.
The author is trying to make us see that Jonas is now against the community and it’s decisions, and that the community is not as perfect as we may see.

This story had a significant impact on my thinking about the government/trusted groups that we trust because they may seem nice and here to protect us, but may have something that they don’t want us to see.

The author is foreshadowing what will happen later on in the book. Whether or not Jonas will succeed with giving the community the memories so they can see what it's actually like in their perfect world.
Now Jonas, and the Giver have to find a way to help the community realize what is happening is actually messed up. Jonas has empathy towards the community.
This quote means to me that Jonas and The Giver are going to try and help the community understand that what they're doing isn't right , and their perfect world is maybe just a lie because it's not perfect at all. I see this in the real world today because it's kinda like the government and them trying to control us.

When Jonas figures out that release means to get killed he decides to run away because he hated that rule and suggested the giver to go with him. He tells the giver to come with him and leave the rest of the people in the community and quickly realizes why the giver has to stay.

In other words Jonas realizes that the giver has empathy for his community.
The author is trying to make us see that you can't just run away from the truth, you have to face the truth because you can't let other people's mistakes define you.
This story/passage had a significant impact on my thinking about it helps us understand how others are feeling so we can respond appropriately to the situation.

Jonas was mad and sad at the same time when he found out that getting released was actually getting killed but then he realized that the community didn't know any better because they had never experienced anything like it. so they decided that it was time for the community to remember how to live and be human again. Jonas at first wanted to run away with the Giver and let the community deal with the memories alone bet he soon had to understand that everyone had their own responsibilities to take care of. and that theirs was the community.
In other words Jonas was telling the Giver that they don't need to care about the others. But that they have to for the sake of the community.
The author is trying to let us see Jonas will always have responsibilities whether he wants them or not.
This story/passage had a significant impact on my thinking about how the quote really relates to real life. Which is why the quote is so important. Jonas wants him and the Giver to run away and be free from all of those memories and responsibilities like many other people but the difference is that jonas is doing it for the better of the community and that other people just want to do it because they are tired of being responsible for everything.
