- He tried to set his aunt's boyfriend on fire and then Zits got punched and the boyfriend got sent to jail.

The thing is Zits' conscience is still there, he knows that he is not himself anymore so apart of him deals with the situation he's getting put into in that body. 
I mean with that, that's already way big for Zits, before he got put into new bodies he didn't want anything to do with anyone because he had no mom or no father to look up to. He cussed out his foster parents, and he shot up the bank.
