Background/Credibility: This writing tells about important people involved in what happened in Cambodia and Vietnam.

Main Purpose: The main point is to give a short history of Cambodia, especially how it got mixed up in the Vietnam War and how the Khmer Rouge took over.

Description: It talks about how Cambodia became independent, how the Vietnam War affected it including bombings by the US, how the Khmer Rouge started and took control, and some of the terrible things they did.

Possible Audience: Because it gives a clear timeline of events and explains who the important people were, high school students could easily understand this.

Special Features: One helpful thing is that it lists the names and important roles of the main leaders.

Defects/Weaknesses/Biases: Since this is just a summary of events and doesn't go into deep detail or show where the information came from, it might not tell the whole story or explain why things happened the way they did.

Usefulness: This writing is useful for getting a basic understanding of the history of Cambodia during the Vietnam War and the start of the Khmer Rouge rule.
