         <description><![CDATA[<div>Most migrant workers were from states affected by the dust bowl, such as, Oklahoma and Texas.the migrants had to leave their homes because of ecological issues that occurred such as the dust bowl. The dust bowl was a giant dust storm that wiped all of the Oklahoma farmland in the late 1920’s. This storm destroyed all of the farmers crops. Along with the Great Depression, people had no money and had to get up and leave to CA.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>
