Algorithm's have been shown to often suppress BIPOC creators on apps such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. In this zine I talk about how TikTok's algorithm listed the word "black" as inappropriate material, effectively suppressing many Black creators on the app.

In the article I talk about how younger GenZers have a willingness to learn about international policies, conflicts, and events, but sometimes lack the background knowledge or history. I also talked about how my platform on TikTok is often the younger generations news source, as they don't watch broadcast news like older Americans do. This is not an opportunity that I take lightly and always strive for accurate yet understandable and contextual content on my platform, to earn the younger generation's trust.
