"You will never learn much about the brotherhood except that it exists and you belong to it."  This provides no evidence at all to whether the rebellion is alive or thriving or even there.  Um maybe 9/11 was a conspiracy that was just us to raise or military and give us a reason to start fighting.  Also we probably have a lot of conspiracy's that allow the government to have a reason to spy on us all the time like the NSA does.  We are also told that the United States is always the greatest country, but we are in debt and countries are progressing faster than us and we aren't as smart anymore.  Without a war we aren't the top dogs and we don't need such a big military with all of the technology advancements anyways.

You would think that after all Winston, and Julia have done at least something would be happening, like maybe the rest of the rebellion would show up but nothing is happening. If it were to be true they would be working with them trying to figure out ways to take down Big Brother, instead they are doing these little things that are against the rules, but they aren't doing very much harm. The government might just be making all of this up to see if people will actually do anything about it. That would give them good information because if something does happen they would know that they are failing at their brainwashing, but if nothing happens then they know that there plans are working and people are siding with them. If people never learn to even know if it exists than it probably doesn't nothing will stay that hidden. I think that this could relate to Russia apparently chiming in on our election. They wanted to Trump to win, and supposedly they helped him do it. We don't know for sure though. Russia is like the government they do things to get what they want.
