The different artworks shown are immersive and dimensional. The 3D shapes and objects being used provide a sense of stimulation throughout the work. It feels like you are in an art gallery exhibition with a way to explore the work through many dimensions and from an unrealistic space. Equinox was perhaps the most intriguing to explore of them all, this being because the sounds and the overall colour and 3D design were sensationally stirring, and gave a unique feeling of sensation throughout the exploration. The overall work was great and had a sense of feeling real in a fantasy reality.

Concept: Reflections of History

I would like to create a moment in time by using 360 video to capture a historical landmark or place that reminisces a moment in the past. By taking a 360 video of a landmark I am capturing a moment in time, and It will give people the opportunity to experience a moment in history and time by giving them the opportunity to visit this landmark/ historical place/places through virtual reality. Essentially a short 360 video giving people the opportunity to experience the history of Sydney through virtual reality.

how does it relate to ideas listed above / or ideas that we have discussed in class?

It relates to the ideas we have discussed in class because it will interactive, accessible, give people the opportunity to feel like they are travelling and visiting historical places in Sydney without actually travelling there. By capturing something historical, and because places are continuously changing over time, I will be capturing a moment in time and preserving a moment in time of a place that has historical importance, because within a few decades the historical places/ buildings and monuments could be destroyed, altered, or changed in some way and I will preserve them through 360 video for the year of 2024.

what tools do you plan to use to author your project?

I plan to use premiere pro editing software to create and edit the video I also plan to use premiere pro to add text and a narrative description of the historical importance of the historical site/ sites.

what challenges do you anticipate?

The challenge I anticipate is finding historically important locations that I am able to shoot video at, and editing at a consecutive level to match the video rhythm with the text captions of the narrative and coherent with the narrating audio. Combining all elements may be challenging.

The black and white mise en scene of the experience brings a dramatized and eerie aspect to the experience. The glowingness makes it seem like you are entranced or in a trance. The voices are dramatized to effect and the space is used in a texturized way. The ambience music is spooky and the people present in the film are inconsistent and digitized and they do not look like real people. They are lacking color because of it being black and white. It almost seems as if you are in another universe and immersed into other people's thoughts and minds.

The weather and the rain create an interesting immersion into the experience. The video is realistic experience of vr and an abstract one. It is a peaceful experience of mind, body and nature. The landscapes are beautiful and the nature sounds make the experience feel like you are actually there in the landscapes. The bees flying at you make it interesting and also a bit unusual, cause usually they would sting you but since you know they wont because you are in VR you are able to observe them more and the way they interact with the landscapes of the environment.

The experience of The Book of distance gives us an insight into japanese communities and stories and memories. It is a unique way to explore the past and using a storytelling narrative to create an experience as storytelling and visually appealing for the viewer. The use of animation and use of real life physical objects is a unique way to show transparency and truth within the story of the experience. The faceless characters and the 3d objects are very interesting to look at in this experience. I thought this experience had a good hook and an intriguing experience for VR.

This is a unique documentary series, I am going to review the Catherine Hardwicke story. The resemblance of the west is prevalent, and the coloring and the use of 3D characters and world to tell the story is what makes this experience feel unreal. The sounds are overwhelming in the experience, and they 3D people are quite disturbing looking sometimes. This documentary as a virtual experience is quite disturbing and aromatic. There is a lot of shadowing present in this experience and makes the experience quite uncanny at times. The girl voice is quite normal but with the ambience in the background it makes the experience dreary.

This is my favorite VR experience I have experienced out of them all. The ambience and the visuals are pure and beautiful and transcend you into to a whole new universe. The visuals and the effects that take place are simple yet transparent, the people are realistic and visually appealing in this experience unlike the other experiences. The experience makes the viewers inhabit emotion and feel something by using all the elements and paying close attention to detail within the graphics, sound, ambience, space, and time. The visuals are stunning and interesting and simple but they are like no other VR experience I have experienced.
