Lied about age to one of the most feared nazi generals, said was fit to work. Managed to get away with it and go to a labor camp instead of the gas chamber., mom claimed that daughter was actually the older sister of daughter.</strong></div><div><strong>   </strong></div>]]></description>

Born November 10, 1929</strong></div><div>  <strong>Lives in Prague again in the same apartment that she lived in before the holocaust</strong></div><div>   <strong>Went to a concert in London at wigmore hall to commemorate her fellow inmates<br>    Her late husband, son, and granddaughter are all musicians.</strong></div><div>  <strong>Mother died at 84</strong></div><div>  <strong>     She now wears a necklace made of a silver chain and a stone shaped like a butterfly wing</strong></div><div><strong>       Lots of butterflies around her apartment, be cause they symbolize freedom she says</strong></div><div>   <strong>on the 5th of may, 1945, the ss officers ran away, and helga and her mother survived</strong></div><div><strong>         In july of the same year, her uncles showed up with the diaries and drawings she had entrusted him when she was sent to auschwitz, he had bricked them into the walls of his barracks.<br>  Only footage of terezin that exists is a promotional video to convince people it was a good place, they got a group of prisoners, handed them fruit baskets and good clothes and made them walk along and sing.<br>  </strong></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>  When they arrived, her dad was sent to themens barracks, ad helga and her mom went to the womens, later a children's barracks was built and helga moved in with girls her age, there they tried to stay human and young, so they had dances and celebrated birthdays and holidays.   </strong></div><div>  <strong>  When she reached terezin, she was put in a room w/ 30 other girls her age, saw her parents for an hour each day and promised her father to think of him everyday at 7 pm, her promised the same to her.<br>     When shoved in a room and told to choose a dress, coat, and pair of shoes, she managed to grab a red dress that bled dye down her legs when it rained, a mismatched pair of high heeled shoes, and a long green coat.</strong></div><div><strong>  her Brother died at terezin<br>  </strong></div>]]></description>
