Lives in Prague again in the same apartment that she lived in before the holocaust

   Went to a concert in London at wigmore hall to commemorate her fellow inmates
    Her late husband, son, and granddaughter are all musicians.

  Mother died at 84

       She now wears a necklace made of a silver chain and a stone shaped like a butterfly wing

   on the 5th of may, 1945, the ss officers ran away, and helga and her mother survived

  "I was always asking my parents, 'What's happening?', and became angry at them if I thought they were trying to hide something, to protect me."

    When she reached terezin, she was put in a room w/ 30 other girls her age, saw her parents for an hour each day and promised her father to think of him everyday at 7 pm, her promised the same to her.
     When shoved in a room and told to choose a dress, coat, and pair of shoes, she managed to grab a red dress that bled dye down her legs when it rained, a mismatched pair of high heeled shoes, and a long green coat.

   she drew her and her friend sharing a bunk in 1943, and pushing prams together in 1957, on the last picture, helga said that her friend died in auschwitz before she turned 15.
   helga was one  of 150-1500 out of 15000 children to survive terezin
        Her father was loaded onto a cart  in auschwitz and she never saw him again. He died

  One more day without food( they had five days without and before that had only 2 spoons of sugar, 2 potatoes and a half cup of tea over 4 days) and helga says her mother probably wouldn’t have survived, lucky they were liberated
